I should be there in my Escort, I wouldn't normally pay £15 to show my car (no show cars, no show FFS!!) but a mate I haven't seen for a while lives nearby so I'm gonna catch up with him too.

Is anyone else planning to go?

Yeah, I'm going to be there. Say hi if you see me.

what are you going to be in? is it a scary old cortina? will you be on a club stand?

I'll be on the noskooljustcool stand in this:

No, I'm not taking a cortina. I did consider it, but too much work and not enough time to get either of them ready. I'm taking the A40 hotrod (retro rides stand) and the LT recovery truck (hard to miss - it's big, red and has "RECOVERY" written on it). I'll keep an eye out for your escort.

Where is it, it's down south isn't it? Should be a good selection of cars there I'd expect.

Depends on your perspective of 'down south'. Too me -its 4 hrs north!

I should be there, we'll be on our annual tat viewing trip from Jersey. White Passat estate, black roof

I would have gone but i'm going to the Billing Vauxhall show instead for the weekend, Typical that everything falls on the same weekend.

Cool, be good to see you Jon. I'll take the Pug 309 manual I picked up for Mark along too, is he coming with you?

5 hours south? That's pretty "down" to me. I just got back!

retrogeezer - I saw your car (nice - skipper's of darlington!) but have no clue what you look like so couldn't find you.

F*ck sticks, Simon i seen your car and totally didn't think of txting you till we were heading home.

Think i also seen Scaryoldcortina, you were parked behind the stands and i think you had your missus and lad with you, was going to say "hello" and chat a load of bollocks to you, but you looked busy mate (Feel rude not saying hello now  )

Kev was also there in his mental pick-up.

Have to say it was a good show / event, but some pesky flies were eating me an Jon alive

DOH!!!

It was good day but those tiny flies were a right pain. Just looking through my photos and in the reflection of a chrome mirror you can see loads of the bastards on my shorts!

So I still have your manual anyway!

I can upload some tonight. The content was fighting for space with something else awesome that occured on the way home.

The turn out was amazing this year, but for the stormbugs that everyone was infested with. MM5 and me saw your car RG on the No Skool stand but we didn't see you. It was only when we were leaving the show that I remembered I had your number in my mobile.

Such a good looking car those, i never tire of looking at em.

We were saying the exact same thing, for a kit car they just look so right. I always liked the Rossa as well:

That's the one. It holeshot so many things, including those stupid big BHP Corsas that set their tyres alight and axle tramped off the line, off boost and on to a crap ET.

There was a bloke with a one six 4 door Corsa identical to the one the office silly boy owns that he claims posts in the 'low 14s'. Despite the fact it's unable to beat another colleague's EK Civic Saloon. Which runs very late 15s \ early 16s.

The best time this Corsa ran was a 17.1. So 7 tenths faster than my [diesel, dog slow] C4 then. Well fast as you can plainly see.

Good show :D

Storm flies were a proper PITA though

Does anyone know the chap who owns the green Fiat/SEAT 133 with the Simca lump in it?

I was selling guff in the two stall :| autojumble area, I was in the silver 405 STDT(!) estate with Opel GT bonnet vents.

I think i was "perving" at one of your inlet manifolds with a carb'.

If i am correct then i have to say i like the look of your 405, but you know a Mi16 engine conversion with suitable turbo would do it well

Hope you did good business.
