Not mine but from the BX forum

Ok this Bx must go by tomorrow or it will be getting scrapped even though it is a good car. My insurance runs out tomorrow and I can't re-insure it so the price has been reduced to £300 as this includes 4 months insurance which in itself comes to £75.00 making the car £225.

Please buy this car and save it.

Call me and make me an offer. 0783 393 0001.

It has done 208649 miles and has excellent fuel consumption.

It was first registered on 24/9/1993.

I bought it from a man in Bolton in 2004 and it has served me well ever since.

It has had 7 former keepers.

All paper work is in order, I do have the V5 for the vehicle and all chassis and engine numbers match up.

Taxed until September 30Th.

M.O.T. Jan 9Th 2012

New Valeo radiator last year

New Centre exhaust pipe.

last cam belt at 171,000 miles.

All tyres are good.

both rear arm bearings have been replaced within the past 3 years.

All filters and fluids were changed just before the winter arrived.

all electrics are working.

Tidy interior.

New gas struts for the tailgate.

all headrests, seatbelts and rear blinds are in good condition.

Now for the bad bits,

The lacquer is peeling in places on the roof but it is not rusting.

The top door hinge on the drivers side is rusted and will need plating in the not too distant future.

There is a knock from the drivers side front I think it is a bottom wish bone bush.

The tail gate is more difficult to close than it should be but it does close I think it needs some adjustment to the catch.

There is a small dent in the passenger rear door where the car has been scraped (before we got it) there is no rust in the dent.

There is a small dent on the sill where the car has slipped off a jack whilst having it's tyre changed I think, (before we owned it) it has never been mentioned on any of it's M.O.T's.

I would like for this car to go to a BX Club member as I know that it will be looked after and maintained properly. I will be advertising this car after 2 weeks on Ebay this is to give people here a chance to buy the car first.

We are in New Brighton CH45 at the end of the m53.

Seems a bloody good buy!

I think it is - I'd have been tempted but have just arranged delivery of my new BX for Friday morning.

Tax, Shirley?

That's cheap. But I'm all shited up, it's not close, and my life wouldn't be worth living if I came home with that. I'd be living in it.

I'm out. :(

well, if you have to live in a car, you can do a lot worse than a BX estate!

True... lovely long, flat, perfectly rectangular load space... How much longer are they (over the hatch)?

Billy, is your quota maxed out?

MM5, you could go get it, and drive home with the 309 in the boot of the BX!

Anyone else near the Wirral? (Other than PeteM - I can't see him stooping to a 1.9l n/a diesel!)

Was game for this as cheap and only up the road but got a Cavalier instead. If anyone does want the BX but is struggling to get there handy I can keep it here for a week or so if required if you arrange to pay the vendor.

If someone here wants to buy it and they're not local I'll lob it on my insurance and keep it outside Chateau Claim for a week or so. It's only about a mile away.

Now sold apparently

This is good fortune for my BX estate as I came very close to weighing it in and getting the blue one instead. It really has been one of those weeks, I mean FFS how can checking the pedal box for cracks lead to having to replace the fuel pipes?

Answer, no probs with box so replace cable to deal with clutch issue, while under car "whats that damp patch? Oh bollocks" etc
