Just been out in the garden to get some pics of my old Crabshite. Apologies for the sub-Cavette photography

This will be coming up for sale very soon as part of a fleet rationalisation programme, I love it but I've got too many cars and have hardly used this one, so it deserves to go to someone who can use it a bit more than I have. Feel the Limeflower Love! :D

At the risk of attracting criticism from certain quarters (about which I do not give a shit, flying or otherwise), not only is that a lovely example of ADO17 but that's a very nice garden you've got there! 8)

That is spot-on AD. Absolutely lovely.

PM me when you come up with a price  . I suspect it's worth a lot more than I can afford at present though.

Great in snow - British Saab 99.

That is a stunna.

I never like the 1800 much (slight trouser tweakage for an Austin Mark 1), but the Wolz is a thing of beauty - just love the interior, and the styling tweaks just transformed them.

Who were SMAC? Why, they were the Southend Motor & Aero Company Ltd. I used to look after an '81 Princess with SMAC number plates.

WOW, thats bloody lovely! Wish mine looked like that!

the car looks a cracker, keep us informed of the price mate when you decide to sell, will prob be too much for me and i have too many cars, theres always a way without the missus finding out lol.

Gawjous! Every garden should have an ornament like that. Sure beat gnomes!

Gawjuz.

Seriously, that is about perfect. Im swooning over the interior, huge want face.

As said, nice garden too.

When the time comes to get rid, PM me aswell please.

I'd have it if I could find somewhere in the Southend area to store it (and The Volvo) under cover :)

Hey, that's alright isn't it?! Agreed about the grille and interior, they do give it a classy touch.

I certainly remember a few of them from the 1970s/80s. They were the sort of car rarely driven by someone young, shall we say...

Hey you should have a race with Lankytim, see who has the fastest Wolzcrab!!! I agree with the nice garden bit as well. 8)8)8)8)8)8)8)

Thanks guys, it's not quite perfect with plenty of old-giffer style stone chips that have been touched up (especially on the front panel) and the colour match on both front wings is not GR8. As Mr_Bo11ox will testify, Limeflower seems to be very difficult to get a decent match on. The starter motor is a bit of a pain, sometimes it sticks and can be difficult to start when hot, of course being an auto it can't be bump started! But it does drive very well. I bought it from the relatives of the original owner who always kept it garaged and used it as a second car. It was also waxoyled from new (this is a bit messy in the engine bay and door shuts so 'the doctor' might clean it off, but I can't be bothered). A nice thing about this car is that it has never been welded, and doesn't seem to need any either.

Yo, the garden is the "overflow storage area" for the projects, there's two more just out of shot. This is one of the reasons I need to sell the 'Crab, it takes up a large amount of valuable garage space

Thanks to those interested, at least I'm not the only one who likes these old barges! The interior is pretty much perfect apart from a small split in the passenger seat, and has a lovely 'old car smell' with a mint original headlining and the original carpets. I've just had a new steering rack fitted at a cost of over £400 (so the POWER STEERING works) and the dynamo was recon'd by a chap on the Landcrab forum (thanks Chris!)

I'm going to take it down to the tyre place hopefully tomorrow for a new tyre on the back and to set the tracking on the front, then it'll be up for sale I think. It's MOT'd until the 25th of November and is TAX EXEMPT which is nice with a car like this which would otherwise be in the high tax band.

Does £1600 sound fair? It's in Southend, Essex SS3.

Ah, but his is a manual so that is an UNFAIR TRIAL. Mind you this one really goes with the kickdown :D

AHA! But his only has a single carb and supposed WWII-surplus recon engine with 5:1 compression ratio! So I reckon you'll waste him easy.

Southend seafront, Friday Night. Meet at the Casino. Once the flag goes down it's once up the strip, round the roundabout, and back again. Extra points will be awarded for who can go slowest, and who looks coolest with their arm out of the window, with Radio 4 crackling out of a solitary speaker.

Sounds good. Shall we have the prize of a BRAND NEW Landrover (D701SWL) for the wiNNAR? 8)

I think D701SWL was scrapped recently, I checked it on DVLA a few weeks ago and its date of liability had passed.
