British Film 'Once upon a time in the Midlands' is on Film 4.

So far I have spooted a souped up silver Sierra XR4i driven by Rhys ifans (I think), some as yet unidentified Left Hooker station wagon driven by Ricky Tomlinson, a Mini limosine driven by Robert Carlyle & an older Mini used as a sign at a tyre fitters.

Hopefully there will be some more chod to come. :mrgreen:

If you're doing nothing else in the morning, watch 'Come Outside' on CBeebies. Auntie Mabel seems to have an astonishing way of finding very shiny late 80's/early 90's buses and post vans to get lifts in. Truly remarkable.

Either that, or they haven't shot any new ones since about '95. Maybe the latter.

All repeats. Last episode first broadcast in 1997. /beebies geek

Just watched 'Harold Baim's Britain on TV' on BBC4 for some mega autoshite content. This one was programme 2 out of 3 and may or may not be the one in the link:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b012tnr8

It featured Telly Savalas's narration on the city of Birmingham "My kinda Town " circa late 1970s , that I think has already been commented on before. :mrgreen:

Also featured is London, Portsmouth, Torquay (no Austin ADO16 estate bashing with a twig here though) and Aberdeen. Indeed, Telly Savalas does the narration for Aberdeen and says how he likes to return one day. I find it hard to believe that Telly ever visited Aberdeen in the 1970s. :? I may be wrong, though. :mrgreen:

Just saw it too. Very Good.

Telly Savalas on Portsmouth - "I'm just crazy about castles and when they're over fifteen hundred years old, I'm even crazier"

I couldn't stop :lol::lol::lol: at that.

I missed that bit (must have been texting at the time :oops: ) but :lol: to that!

Also liked how Telly kept fitting his famous Kojak catchphrase "Who loves ya, baby" into the script. :lol:

He has a load of shite old cars in his back garden that are putting potential buyers off. I can't think why. :mrgreen:

There's an old Jag S Type (?) and a K reg Blue Pug 309 in the garden. i wonder if he's a member on here? :D

Was watching "Life is Sweet" the other night and noticed Jim Broadbent driving a wonderfully shagged out Citroen CX. 8)

We're a bit behind over here, but I noticed in "Doctors" that new boy Dr Simon drives a Bluebird, about 1987 vintage. :D Of course, given the time difference, he's probably left the show by now...
