Tone's underwhelming spots 11/2011 - RENNER!

Good effort! I didn't put that much thought into it at the time for several reasons.

1. the theiving fuckwit on the till was the widow of the late owner.

2. the till was a serving hatch from her kitchen

3. you had to then cut through her living room (roaring fire, comfy looking sofas, pictures of the grandchildren) to get to the chod warehouse.

It was ace. I'm willing to bet on a hunch though, that it was £3 for adults, and £2 for bairns, on the grounds that 50p increments didn't seem their style, so if they were putting the price up, they'd likely just knock on a quid across the board. Good for them, I say.

Right. First up, some chod from the last few days, including some scary Durham council-estate shots where I was being quite careful not to arouse interest and get my head kicked in (and are therefore shit - sorry).

On that note, I see some GOLD when I have to take the looser-cruiser to the dentists (it goes allover the shop, including the local prison lol) but the estate where it's all at looks rough as fook. I hope the bus never breaks down, put it that way.

I need to go up there on my bike in the early hurs of sunday and get stealthy shots, ninja style.

Worthy of it's own post (probably it's own thread), as seen by a couple of you on my facebook - this very straight renner which I've been passing at 7am on my way home from night shifts for weeks and never been quick enough to get a shot as it wafts* past in the opposite direction - caught on my way home from Asda the other day.

*I say "wafts", but it's a 2.0. Awesomesauce.

No Ritmos I'm afraid, but an Acclaim in morrisons and a TR7 hero from the last few weeks...

I don't think I've mentioned this one, but it lives 3 doors down the road from me and hasn't moved in 5 or 6 years. And no, she won't sell it.

And this just made me grin. Partly cos it shows up just how shit the paintowrk is on my Imp, but mostly cos it amuses me that they're the same.

Ha! How did I miss that? Good work Greg!

Right. To celebrate having just spunked £245 taxing the BAAS, here's some car park porn from the last couple of weeks. Apologies for being the wrong side of the sun in every single case.

Papped this in Morrisons - It was full of childs. Good work grandad. 8)

Back to morrisons, what's this peeking out? Oooh! - I wonderfully failed to capture the beauty of this one. It had a big aluminium chimney out the top. I do wonder if there's a wood burning stove in there. Classy.

And finally, parked in the next office to mine, I've been chasing this for a while

Long lense pap shot the other week:

Right. Carry on!

That maroon Renner is gorgewous! I reckon they've really matured well, styling-wise. It even manages to look like a reasonable ownership proposition as a daily driver... though I expect Beelzebub still lurks in the electrics. Grand :D

The (as yet un-seen) owner is using it every day to get to work lately, fo sho. Top stuff. TXE with baggy leather and everything. Ace.

Thats 55Bloke's car if I'm not very much mistaken.

Ooh. He must live right near me, I still see that one in the mosrnings on my way home from a night shift fairly frequently.

Woo hoo!! Fame at last!! We have had no internet for a week, so have just seen this thread. Not only is the Misty Blue 25 my daily driver, and has been for almost 7 years, but the Persian Red one is my wife's daily driver!! :D

Ooh! She works next door to me then! Apologies if she was unsettled seeing me out her office window surreptitiously taking pictures of her very very nice car! 8)

Ha ha, no worries!! Doubt she noticed, she's kinda busy most of the time!

If you drive a car as gorgeous as that you must expect it to become a media star. :)

Feeling the love here!! Glad the car's finally being appreciated!! The Persian Red one has only done 30k miles, it's a lovely thing, but really needs some TLC, having been owned most of it's life by an elderly chap who seems to have dinged it just about every time he took it out of the garage!! Needs a new front passenger door and new side trims, but they're just about unobtainable. Also, several areas where the paint needs touching up. Had a stainless exhaust and new shocks since I got it about 10 months ago.

Took this shot in Meadowhall car park a few days ago - couldn't resist parking next to it's German contemporary.

Every time I see one of those I have a temptation to cut the exhaust off and stick it to one side

Worst thing is I've no idea how/when/where I got that photo.. just saw your pic and thought it looked familiar.
