Spoke to one person I know there and she's ok as some areas got off lightly. City centre looks like a war zone though and no word from anyone else :(

Been thinking about this all day. You see things like this in the news all the time but when it's a street you walked down every day and shops you went in it really hits home :(

Luckily everyone I know there is ok, although a few lucky escapes

I hate to think it Neg creep, but I suspect the fascinating Fazzazz will be gone.

As of right now there are still hundreds missing and many still trapped.

Take good care and make sure to be safe. One of my sister happened to be in the place near the center of the earthquake, though she told me that she's fine I would still like to see her as soon as possible. Thank goodness I can take out a

payday loan as soon as possible, so I would be able to see her. I hope that there are low number of casualties on the said earthquake.

Here in NZ its one degree of separation..meaning i know someone u know..the vintage shop i supply in Wellington..Chris' son has a substantial business in Christchurch doing jeans ,streetwear etc..he also had a large art deco house with a 1957 Chrysler coupe he bought in the US for $40000..all this lies in rubble but hes alive..

the whole inner city has been destroyed..

and the liquification..the ground turned into instant swamp..

What is sobering i think STUNO is how we all in NZ are at potential risk..u live on a bubbling hot pool..ive Mt Ruapehu as a volcano not far away..the faultline from here which leads to Wellington..always at potential risk..of recent whilst walking down our main Vic Ave..i see it as Christchurch and that it all could come tumbling down at any moment..when i do end up with a house of my own..its gonna be wooden..on a flat and definitely not coastal..

I live beside a steaming hot pool which happens to be inside the crater of a volcano, and for some reason I sleep well every night, because I rely on EXPERTS. Ruapehu showed us here in 1996 that we only think we are safe, we got a fairly heavy ash fall in Rotorua which was a bloody nuisance. Earthquakes are a fact of life in this area, but has been very quiet for some years

now. fotorabias' town bounces about far more than us !!
