I tried that with my Capri, didn't work. I'm not deterred though and have already started applying the same line to my Granada. Can't use it on the A40 because a) it isn't roadworthy (yet) and I know of half-a-dozen others, including one right across the road from my new house. He taunts me with A-series buzzing....

Wants - the little lcd screen for the trip computer on a Mk1 Mondeo Ghia. The one that goes in the centre console. Also front struts and the centre+back sections of exhaust for the same (2.0L FWD hatch). New or near new, please, cash waiting...PM me.

Never mind a shed full of parts: I just want some sheds! Where I'm moving to, there is a big open space behind the house. GR22 for keeping and playing with old cars, but not for storing parts and tools. I have a couple of sheds but nothing like enough.

I would put a shed on the list, but we might be moving at some indeterminate point in the vague future. But it really would be good to get bits off cars and bikes, and work on them. And not have tools all over the place. My grandad's shed from when I was little remains a model of how it should be.

After weeks of looking, I found one tonight on a Cyprus forum. Seller wants 500 euros for it, new in box. By his description, it sounds like the twin of one I have. Nice shed, good size, but no way am I paying that kind of money! If the condition is really as described, and it's complete, I might be haggled up to half his price, but 500 is taking the stream of warm liquid waste. I'll keep looking.
