I'd agree, it's an SL. Looks like it's suffered a bit of side impact too. Anyone got a shell to transplant the V8 into?

I don't mind them, but yes, character is something you won't get. In fact, there's not much point opting for a V8 as they sound crap. Trust the Germans to engineer all the niceness out of a V8 so it sounds like a four pot!
