Michael Caine and Shite

The Fourth Protocol, one of my favourite '80s espionage thrillers, starring Michael Caine and Pierce Brosnan. It contains a veritable landslight of shite, from an SD1 performing a handbrake turn in Liverpool Street Station before Caine chases a class 312 off the platform, to Pierce Brosnan driving an Azure Blue XR3i.

 

Also a good film if you're a fan of F111s, and has some recognisable locations around Ipswich and Milton Keynes.

 

Here is a chunk of the film with a good concentration of '80s tin, especially from around the 6'30" mark.

A very early pre production XR3i as well. They never came in that colour.

It's strange, in some shots it looks like usual Azure, but in others it looks far lighter, like Glacier or Miami blue. Shenanigans.
