Butter? Nope, for a short period of time (the 50s and early 60s) smuggling butter over the Dutch-Belgian border was  a lucrative criminal activity. Drivers would often use a big American car able to carry hundreds of kgs and still gain some speed, to counter this the border patrol started driving USA stuff as well. Eventually it escalated in smugglers building monstrosities such as the truck above, and chases involving yank tanks going over 150 km/h on poorly lit narrow backroads. Needless to say this was quite risky, and there were several fatal accidents.
