Ford Corsair and Ford Transit

The diagram shows a RWD gearbox, so I'd go with the Ford answer as well.

It came out of The Italian Sports Car Club book .1962...an original copy i found and sold for a lot of money..historical diagrams of all the famous Italian racing cars. So..not Ford.

Lancia made RWD V4s from the 20’s , before the Fulvia came along in 64 (?).

Nobody that’s ever seen any engine from the Essex stable close up could mistake those beautiful ribbed castings for a Transit engine.

I was just naming cars that I knew had been fitted with a v4, 1920's Lancia was going to be my next guess, obviously!

It’s a Lancia Appia.
