sheffcortinacentre
John Dodds "the beast" lives in Spain I believe. Charlie's SD1 has now got ohc's & he's in the process of building a supercharger set up for it.

puddlethumper
I had the pleasure of meeting John Dodd and the first incarnation of the Beast at Biggin Hill in the 70's. An incredible machine. The first Beast caught fire in Sweden and he rebuilt it into the beige Beast that he still has in Spain. I'm pretty sure he said it was governed to 200mph as he didn't dare go any faster. The Germans weren't too keen on him using the autobahn as a test track and I believe they refused him entry the second time he went there. Two miles to the gallon. Eeek!
