GOC937L was registered in January 1973, well before the Allegro went on sale.  It lasted until 1986.

Moretti Fiat 850 4-door, 1969.

I really like it and would like to drive one, the perfect city car, a bit like a miniature Mk3 Zodiac in the middle but baby Fiat at the ends. It needs tailfins on the rear wings.

I reckon the owner of the Trabant with the trailer has only fitted it so that he can find his car easier.

Intriguing early Maestro prototype!

Looks like there were no side scallops, but the indicator and grille arrangement looks similar to the production car, with the van headlights which I've read elsewhere were considered for lower spec cars.

NWP639T was registered as a 1500 Maxi, which I suppose would be a way to register it without attracting attention.   It wouldn't be surprising if it had the 1500 E series engine, since the production 1.6 R series was developed from it.  Untaxed since August 1982, which would make sense.

Was common when registering protos for road use to avoid Type Approval arguments, etc

LC10 project clays wore Maxi grille badging too

[Oh no I’m talking in the don’t talk thread]

protos as late as 1981 still argued for the flank scallop on or off

I saw the young owner of this Seicento being interviewed a couple of years back.

He's quite a character.
