The Sunbeam was officially launched on the 23rd of July 1977. 

There's no date on the b&w advert, but I'm guessing it's from earlier on in the year, not just because of the missing Sunbeam, but because it is making a big deal of the year - ie new year, new car.

I guess dealers were using 1100s to plug the gap at the bottom of the range left by the Imp being dropped in 1976.

Patties are a delicacy known only in Hull. (Hull patty  = deep fried mashed potato and parsley)

sadly the one in the picture didn't survive Covid and Bob Carvers death
