If you bought an early Sierra L, which came with two dangly mirrors as standard, you could have odd mirrors by ticking the option box for internally adjustable nearside or offside mirror but not both.  They were separate options!

I wonder if Gerry Anderson or one of his team saw one of these & remembered it a few years later when designing vehicles for Thunderbirds?!
