Loving your detailed analysis of the risible GT40 replica. I've never seen anything quite like it. I'd roll around in that no bother.

Great pics - keep them coming please!

That T2 just screams Back to the Future terrorists 8)

Excellent spottage that Eagle is a real heavy hitter in the shite department. A Renault 25 re-badged and modified for the American market. It doesn't get any better than that.

That looks like a pinto nestling under the hood of the that GT 4.1. Is it for sale? It looks like it was built from memory. Someone with a bad memory at that!

You got those badges fitted to your caddie yet?

I'm guessing it's a Pinto lump, too, but I couldn't be sure.

Yep, badges are fitted. Thanks again. Photos coming soon!

For extra shite points it should really be a Lima. That fails quite epically on most levels. Really should have used an aircooled Bug engine, at least they wouldn't have had to cover it up because it'd fit under the back...

That GT 4cylinder looks like something Paul Banham would produce.Top find.

Tennessee has been putting up these dot matrix signs over the highways to scare motorists into driving more safely.  I have to admit, it's a bit grim watching this number increase every day.

the GT4 replica, why does that pintio have 2 air filters?

Wow, the Camaros look like the kind of thing you'd create in a video game, for a laugh. People actually did that to their cars? Crikey...

Also, what's the 'S' on the Alfa mean? Don't think we had those designations over here.

That GT40 replica has a set of very rare Volvo 244 R-Sport gauges, for some bizarre reason. He'd get coin for those if he took 'em out.

Alfa sold the 164 in the US from 1991-95. Three trim levels were available at launch; 164 (base model), 164L and 164S. L for Luxury and S for Sport or Super, depending on who you ask. The base model was dropped for 1992, with the L and S continuing. All versions had the 3.0 V6 engine. Base and L made 183 horsepower and were available with a five speed manual or four speed automatic gearbox. The S had a made 200 horsepower and came with the five speed manual only.

The 164 received a facelift for the 1994 model year. Trim levels were renamed 164LS (Luxury Sport/Super?) and 164Q (Quadrifoglio, or Cloverleaf in English). Power output for the LS was 210 horsepower and was available with a five speed manual or four speed automatic. The Q made 230 horsepower and was could only be had with the manual gearbox.

The 164 was the last Alfa Romeo to be sold in America (1995) until a limited run of 8C Competizione coupes and cabrios were sold from 2009-10 through Ferrari/Maserati dealers.

For you viewing pleasure, here are some US TV adverts for the Alfa 164 which I don't ever recall seeing!

Despite the fact we STILL don't have a Fiat dealer within 100 miles of us, the 500 is becoming an increasingly common sight.

Thanks for the rundown on the US Alfa 164's; I suppose I should've reckoned on them not shipping the 2L over there, which would simplify the model range a bit.

I like the Falcon Ranchero, but as wrong as it is, I like the Seville more 8) . That would be getting parked at 45 degrees, across 3 spaces down at Asda, just to see who would object. It's that kind of car.

I'm currently sat in Tennessee as I type this... There's lots of old chod running around here in Memphis, but I don't fancy getting my nice DSLR out to take pictures, as I fear someone might relieve me of it... (T'is a tad ruff anywhere away from Beale Street!)

Welcome to the South!, hope you enjoy the warmer weather and Southern hospitality ... I've been here nearly 2 years and have avoided getting mugged/shot.

Rough is an understatement! Unfortunately, thanks to my job, I had to spend some time in Memphis back in the late '90s. I hated every minute I had to spend in that shitehole! Makes me glad I live 200 miles away from that awful place! No wonder Elvis had giant walls separating his house from the thieving scum who live there!

Flip side from here.

I think I locked my truck. If I didn't... Oh well. It'll be where I left it in the morning.

Not much grows legs and walks off of its own accord around here thankfully

I think I need to move down your way Phil, there has been more shootings in the apartment block across the way from ours, I came out to give my daughters friend a lift home on Saturday evening got to the Jeep and heard shots - I ducked down by the wing and saw that 2 guys where chasing 1 guy round the apartment block while exchanging fire with 9mm semi auto pistols (probably Hi Points) it was probably a "difference of opinion" but doesn't make for a safe environment.

I'm also trying to go back to my old employer in LA, its much nicer in Redondo Beach, there is sod all work locally.

Probably best to avoid renting here unless you require token wild west action :- http://www.mississippiapartmentguide.com/Mississippi/Jackson/Apartment/91118.html
