Know anyone famous with a Morris Minor?

 

My tutor at Uni is a PT producer \ programme maker at the BBC and is making a Christmas special about the Morris Minor. She needs someone to interview, anyone vaguely famous or well known. Not necessarily a superstar.

 

Anyone got any suggestions?

Could try Tony Hawks, the writer. As detailed elsewhere here, he had a rubbish group years ago called Morris Minor and the Majors. I did hear a rumour that Madness, or some individual members at least, used to have Morris Minor vans; "Driving in my Car" was clearly written about exactly that. Chris Barrie (Rimmer on Red Dwarf) is something of a classic-car nut, so he would be worth a try too. Not sure exactly what he has at the moment, but I know he's not averse to a bit of BMC action. Hope these are some help...

I could have deamt it but I'm fairly certain that Tony Slattery has/had a Morris Minor, not exactly a household name but may be worth a try; failing that David Yip aka 'The Chinese Detective' piloted an unreliabe (poetic licence) traveller.

Maybe not famous enough, but Tiff Needell has been known to big-up the Morris 1000, as here:
