Sadly its got to go.

 

Just spent a fortune on fixing my van - the dreaded tin worm was killing it so it needed rather a lot of welding. Im hoping it proves to be a good investment as they are getting rare now.

 

On top of that the mot ran out on the Capri in June and it really needs a bit of cash thrown at it to get it back running.

 

The 3i has been a good old motor for me, ive had it since last November - but I need the cash, plus it will need a new water pump soon as its begin to leak water. I can't be spending any money on it when ive got none to do so as well as a Capri lying on my driveway desperate to be back on the road!

That is a lovely example..... be interesting to see what it goes for, not got the money or space right now but that's exactly what I'd be interested in at some point. Original, clean, but usable.

Long time since ive sold anything on ebay. sounds like a crazy rule change that.

I'd love a 3i, I remember about 1999ish a work mate bought a red C plate Mk IV cheap as it needed welding, It was low mileage and the interior was like new but the scuttle was missing and the doors, wings and wheel arches were knackered.

 

It ended up being stripped for spares, I had the steering wheel for my Eclipse at the time. My mate also brought a D plate in black with the electric pack, That was a much nicer one.

 

They aren't particularly fast by today's standards but i can still hear that fuel injection hiss and crispy exhaust tone even now, what a car!.

If I am correct, the new owner of this car is someone I know.... They just posted pictures of it on facebook.

Damn that looks like a good price. Really fancy one of these now the chavs have moved on and they aren't subject to Scene Tax yet
