Does this qualify? Shite or Classic?

If the alternative to "shite" is "classic", then these two would both still be full-on, dead-cert shite in my book. I bet those plates on the Imp aren't the original ones though.

An Ital, even one with 331 miles on the clock, is definitely shite. Imp is a more difficult one - the usual slightly scruffy examples that crop upon the Bay probably qualify, but that one is more of a classic than shite I reckon.

I don't like Itals much, although things may have been different - I came within an insurance quote of having a 1.3HLS in beige as my first car (had a R4TL instead), but having HAD an Imp, I'm a touch biased - Ital = shite, Imp(this one)=classic/non-shite.Any other offers? Might I suggest that some cars, no matter their age, condition or price will always be shite? Is there a formula? :?

He had chosen the most attractive colour, Silver birch metallic, and delayed delivery until the 1st of August so that the car would be registered on the new X plate; he thought that his wife would be delighted. Sadly, she was not. However, not wanting to seem ungrateful she agreed to drive the car for a while just to see if she could get used to it. It was not to be the case and after travelling a little over 100 miles she had to confess to her husband that it was really not the car for her. Somewhat dejected and, perhaps, just a little out of spite her husband said “fine, then it can just stay in the garageâ€Â………. It did.For the next 12 years or so, although started and run regularly, the car only left the safe confines of its garage for its annual M.O.T. The Ital was kept in tip top condition taxed and M.O.T’ed in the hope that the wife would change her mind – she never did.

Jesus on a bike. Would a sane person believe that work of fiction?

Whilst I don't dispute the originaility of the Ital.... I did get the urge to turn the page on the description and see how the next chapter turned out, it was such a good story!!

Hmm...I wonder where he finds these cars? He was selling the "delivery mileage" 1970 Avenger a few months back.Interestingly my dad is thinking about the Imp as he ran a similar car back in the early 70s, he probably will bottle it though

Is that Ital worth £4000+ and rising?? Apparently so.Makes those £2000 Renault 30s etc seem like a bargain.Infact if I didn't know better, I'd guess this Ital was being sold by a Frenchman!:roll:

Bidding closed, on the Ital with "reserve not met" at £4800. Christ on a bike.

Expect to see it relisted as a £4500 buy-it-now before Sunday...

What the Ital, any Ital, proves is that you can't polish a turd.

I think they did quite a good job of making the Marina look a bit more contemporary on a shoestring budget. Probably not worth the effort though.
