Oh I realise I could have found cheeper if I waited but I wanted as mint as possible and I wanted it now, so just paid my £25. Not really the autoshite way I know. On the other hand I had made my purchase after 3/4 of a bottle of red, very much the Autoshite way....

If we're talking games consoles then I have the following:

Atari 2600

Dreamcast

Game Boy Colour

Gamecube

NES

Nintendo 64

PS1

PS2

SNES

Saturn

Xbox

Xbox 360

No idea how many games in total but at a rough guess I'd say 600

Also got loads of old valve radios, EKCO, Philips, etc. Only last week I was in a charity shop and I saw a proper old eighties "ghetto blaster", you know the ones they walk around with on their shoulders in old films. "£5, tape deck broken". Am I wrong to love things like this?

NO! :D

I have this piece of kit which I am making into a sleeper so to speak, as a wireless music reciever/digital radio.

The turntable only works when it wants to, the tape player does not work but the radio is fine but i am gutting it RR stylee and putting in the equivalent of a Rover V8 into a fiat 127 etc. However it looks a lot better than the normal music receiver.

My mate is very good with electronic gubbins and is going to give me a hand as soon as i have saved up enough for the parts to do it (story of my life).

Plus they go for a fortune on e-bay. I was looking for one of those instead of the stereo above at 1st, but the prices were crazy. However i prefer what i bought.

The company I worked for bought (well, took them out of stock) six of those for our photo/graphics studios & labs.

I swiped the old Philips 2.5W valve amp, turntable & speakers for home - my first stereo, I had to flick one of the valves with a fingernail to get it to start. Magic :D

Surely the true 'shiters TV choice would be one of these, designed by Phillipe Charbonneaux of Renault 16 fame?

Grrrlz tend not to like lots of old stuff about though. They tend to like cleanliness and new stuff. Not all of 'em. The ex Mrs L was addicted to shiny new Ikea shit though.

Seems an apt a place as any to share some pics of our new shite house.

Sunglasses needed for the kitchen.

Sitting room carpet. Gas fire already replaced with real fire. Room now full of our crap.

Lovely wallpaper. Not yet removed (we have removed the paper in the sitting room)

A close up of the kitchen floor. It's fake tiles but fake tiles laid badly and out of line!

We were repulsed by many aspects of this interior, but we're kind of getting used to it which is a bit scary. Mind you, drop anything and you'll never find it again with those carpets. Sadly, dead mice are almost impossible to see too... (bloomin' cat is settling in fast!).

The 'lovely wallpaper' does interesting things when you scroll the page!

The kitchen floor is pretty cool too. I'd be tempted to keep that.

Waah. Hadn't noticed that. Trippy. Reminds me of an experience in a Chinese restaurant after some LSD...

That's a quality kitchen.... my mum's only just ripped the exact same cabinets out last year, had them for 17 years and they were secondhand off an uncle who had had them for at least 15. Well built!

This seems like an appropriate time to take a picture of my new TV stand.

Funny enough on the subject of jazz mags, a work mate bought a couple into work last week from 1986, There was a interesting feature involving a girl cleaning a 1975 Citroen Dyane, this was the cleanest (and best) photo i could get off it.
