Spotted - pair of sexual Renners on FB marketplace

Lovely looking brace of Renaults on marketplace, both look the same colour too. 25 TXi which IIRC was top spec other than Monaco/Turbo etc, 2.0 3 valve per cylinder head and those seats just look orgasmic. Unfortunately an auto, these were troublesome I think from memory. For Sir's utility vehicle, a pre-facelift 21 savanna 2.0 injection GTX, so mid range but excellent condition.

Always loved those 25s 😍

Me too, would love a V6 turbo one day!

My experience of the 25 was that it felt quite daunting. As a 22 year old, it felt massive and I was glad I only had it for a couple of days. I had a Savanna for a week, which was great when moving house. Both from my days checking out pool cars whilst working forThames Water.

"pool ..... Thames Water."

As a 25 auto owner,I wouldn't think you'd get the complete "three piece suite on wheels "experience with a manual box The 25 used at least three different auto boxes, according to engine size.Funny how they were thought of as big cars back in the day.On the road today,I feel quite small in mine, with so many SUVs and big vans around.Apparently there's only 25 left on the road, though I'd guess a lot more SORNed.Think mines quite unusual in that it's been in continuous use since 1989, though sometimes only a few hundred miles between MOTs.

I’d agree that an auto would have been a better experience. Back then, I was more used to Sierras, Cavaliers and Rover 200s. It felt massive in comparison and I couldn’t get a happy driving position, felt too low.

In comparison, I had a Granada 2.0 twin cam auto estate for a long weekend and felt very much at home in that. Was handy for a Scouting trip to Alton Towers.

Last time I saw a Scorpio estate parked up,it looked tiny compared to the modern stuff round it.The 25 does feel roomy inside, though, mainly due to the thin doors.Impact protection is for wimps!

Yep, my Senator feels small now and the Cortina tiny. They were big cars in their day.

Remember when I were a lad,if you got  ride in a Mk4 Zephyr,it felt enormous inside and out,yet smaller than the 25.

As a proffesional awkward bastard ive never met a car yet i didnt want to actually drive. Weve just took on a late Freelander 2. Absolute top of the shop run out spec. And a good one too. And im the only person i know who thinks itd be better with a 6 speed manual instead of an auto. Hate autos. Sorry 😁

I got all excited when I saw the Norwich plate on the Savanna.  Could it be for sale locally?

No, no it couldn't.  Not locally at all in fact...
