Golf Clipper - £250

don't get excited this is a photo of the car 12 months ago.

For sale is my 1990 Clipper - it is a 1.8, electric hood, carb with the clipper body kit.

good bits:

body in decent nick appears to be little rust - a few bits here and there

80k on the clock

the notorious fuel filler pipe has been replaced by me

bad bits

no MOT

no Tax

No V5 (never came through to me)

will need front wheel bearings at least for the MOT and a front indicator bulb

flat battery

car has been laid up since March and some scrote has stabbed the roof with a stanley - doesn't leak but will need to be replaced

paint is thin in places - bonnet edge etc.

all in all this is a pretty solid example of this car, I used it a lot last year. If you have the time you could put this car back on the road for a couple of hundred. If you outsource it - probably £500 would sort her

why am I selling:

well I don't have the time to fix her up or the inclination - these are great cars but they have lapbelts inthe back which makes them hopeless famly options.

£250 is a bargain -

car will need to be collected from Edinburgh - it will drive with a new battery but at your own risk as no tax MOT -

Also PM'd, just in case

If that wasn't the other end of the world I'd buy it just to sort out and sell on ready for next summer, As Station said, does it look anything like the photo?.

Just convince someone that the blue one is EXTREME RAT LOOK and you're on a winner.

Even if the photo of the red one is highly complimentary, it'll break for £250 - clipper kit, electric hood mech, engine will top that figure. Shame it's got a cut hood but sounds repairable, depends if it's a knife stab or knife slash I guess. I was looking at a much older (D plate) non-clipper cab, looked far more tired than that, for £550....
