Been after one of these badges for ages, found a chap selling NOS ones on the bay (in blue, I really wanted red or black but hey beggars and all that).

Now I have fitted it I think it looks wrong on the K11 grill. I think Im going to mount it internally on the window using some of those little blobs of clear sticky bogey type things....

I think it suits it.

Problem is not the badge, it's the car.

Get it flogged and get the badge on a nice 1984 Cherry.

I would say don't worry about it.

Gluing a damn great placca badge to the inside of the winscreen will make the car look like it belongs to some mad old geezer. Maybe you want that look, in which case label all the dashboard switches with wobbly Dymo lettering as well.

'HEATING'

'FOGLIGHTS ON/OFF'

etc

Looks fine as is, as MrB says don't do the inside window thing unless you are going for the mad old giffer look!

And then spent an hour making lables for tapes and instructions on how to light the boiler (now stuck on the boiler) and next up Im moving on to the distribution board

That said, its much neater than the old red/blue/black plastic Dymo stuff.

FT - I have a black badge (Nissan 50th Anniversary) if you want it?

Oh wow - really?

I could put one on the grill and one on the inside back window or perhaps I could get a few and line them up on the grill....

PM me with details will you if you want to get rid.

Yeah why do they do that?? The R9 has some plastic strip wording that someone has stuck on next to some of the controls, mainly the fan settings!

I remember the local Nissan dealer selling those for 50p each 3 years after they originally sold them. Odd thing is that I don't recall many current Datsun owners having them on their cars.

I might hunt one out as a point of priority. I recently found a Lombard RAC rally sun visor sticker which has miraculously survived in my parents house for over 25 years - thats definitely going on something.
