I would be very happy to blezz round in one of these for a while, I bet they are generally GR8 although i would expect to have to go round it first removing odd whitworth-threaded mild steel bolts, scotchloks, 3-core house wire, and doemstic plumbing fittings used for 'repairs' by previous and generally unaware of the world at large kit car beardy owners.

LoL.. They own a lot of scimitars too - maybe the fibreglass attracts them somehow.

 

I had an eagle geep a while back, the steering column was held on with an exhaust clamp which was screwed to a piece of 2x4 which was nailed to the grp bulkhead... that was probably the worst bodge on the car, but it wasn't the only one!

I worked for Lucas for a while " Lucas Prince of darkness " as it was known , mainly because your headlights went out at regular random intervals for no bloody reason

I think with lucas it was more expectation over reality - names like "King of the Road" "Daylighter" and "Voltage regulator" for example, compared with what actually happens. Ford looms aren't immune either, the lights went out on my 'tina today (well, the headlights did - drove home in the dark on side and tail)
