Pragueshite: My Spots

I'm on holiday. One of these "city break" things where you do about 20,000 ish steps a day (according the phone app thingy) and look at architecture and museums. More importantly, however, for the 'shiter, a foreign country is a gold mine for stuff that's either thinning out back home in Britain, or just weird variations of the norm. Some of the stuff nearer the bottom was taken with my camera before it threw a tantrum and has ceased to work.

I intend to post more after these - if I remember, that is. In the meantime, here's some (often terribly/quickly taken) spots of utter misery I've seen walking about Prague.

Fun* fact : VAG made a a 1-litre version of the ancient Skoda OHV specifically to use in those Fabias. Why they bothered doing that, rather than simply use the ubiquitous VW 1-litre SOHC, is a mystery.

The thing is, too, was that it was the same power output of roughly 50hp. Some early advertising stuff I have for these cars lists this as a UK option at launch, but as far as I know we never did see it here.

In Europe, I think it had been about since launch as the "MPI", but as the HTP we got in the UK (6v and 12v), it was released early 2003, there's some on 52s, but mainly began on 03 plates. The 1.4 MPI (OHV) was replaced with it by that point.
