The existence of the 'London Motor Museum' was one that had passed me by - story of it's closure is here:

Of course with the cars involved -  I think they would not have needed UK registration - if they were used solely as static museum exhibits not destined for the public road.

Considering these were rated at about 24mpg US on the highway that really doesn't seem bad at all.

That's about 28-29mpg UK so not bad going if you weren't hanging around.

Might not see it there but the panel right behind the top screen has a large rust hole in it.

PhWOAR. 80s Maserati. Yellow. Three spokes. Convertable. Rotten. Not sure who's penis is more erect, mine or the NatWest loan manager who I would be begging to lend me the repair costs.

Would anybody be able to get a reg from a VIN here? The reg number on the Cadillac is actually the reg of a silver Fleetwood stretch limo of similar vintage that might have belonged to the same collection at some point (photos available online). So without paperwork or reg number I would have no way of telling whether this normal length Fleetwood was even registered in the UK. I guess an HPI check would reveal this? I just sent the vin through Carvertical and they have hardly info at all for it.

Just to clarify, the VINs above were from 3 different Cadillacs there. Even if only one seems dodgy it would be likely that all of them are.

@LightBulbFun perhaps?

Car vertical can run their checks off a vin. Not cheap though. Assume other similar sites may also do so but without taking a finger for the privilege

I can only make out 2 of the VIN's neither have UK vehicle records that *I* can find however my ability to do so (VIN to registration mark) is a bit degraded these days, in that if the vehicle has been inactive for a while my tools will falsey return no results even if there is a record, however I also put the VIN's through is it nicked, which is said to queary the PNC, and they dont flag up as stolen so make of that what you will :)

(there is also a chance they might be registered on the DVLA but with a truncated or typo'ed VIN as well, or even registered on their engine numbers rather then VIN Numbers, I have seen all sorts of shenanigans, especially when it comes to imports and oddball vehicles)

Thats a start at least, thanks for looking into it! I wouldnt be surprised if the previous owner never bothered registering them in the UK, the Fleetwood came over from New Jersey after 2015 (inspection sticker still in the windshield) while the rose Sedan Deville was in Florida up until 2013. If he really was a collector he might just imported them and stashed them away like many other cars he seems to have had. That does mean that I'd have to go through the registration process though, having just done that with the Caprice (minus the HMRC declaration which was already done) it would make the car slightly more expensive though, so less of a great deal.

Done the Carvertical check on it yesterday, it had so little info that they actually gave me another check for free lol. That might mean that is was never registered here.

Any info on the custom in front? Reminds me vaguely of a Street Machine feature car from way back.
