So, after yesterday antics and many kind offers to me of vehicular tat, I decided I needed something this week.

SUV or estate/hatch surfaced these via the dubious sources of eBay and Faceache.

Oil leak on the Omega triggered major can’t be arsedness, so no,

Then an itch I’ve always wanted to scratch appeared at silly money…

Pajero mini, unfortunately after a call to the garage, it’s MOT sheet was extensive and despite the pass, the many pages of ‘next time dread’ explained the £1200 price…

So, my 20 mile radius an car journey is off.

Poor count 1, food none (fasting innit)

my legs on Avensis taxi leg.

Be warned, this is phenomenally uninteresting collect.

£15 lighter and at Wakefield Trinity Stadium,

Will the new car contain the Trinity of cheap, reliable and not stinking of corpses?

4 minutes of footwork and we’ll find out…

Letters of the new car contained in here (mostly)

It's a base mcBase face - and Facey McFacelift...No Pez shot as it had a quarter tank of sizzler and I haggled to price of two new rear tyres off it but a refreshingly tidy old girl...

Body colored door handles mirrors are for losers, as apparently is remote locking.

Air con is cold ish and does not smell of dog or anything so wifey will be happy.

It has estate boot so I too am happy and the 140bhp pd euro 4.

I have lost the creature comforts of the elegance, so no under seat store, no lumbar, no computer to lie about mpg, o could have swapped the alloys over as one was wrecked but the spare it also a real one but I’ve got other jobs to be doing and CBA as keeping them means new tyres on the wheels and the new car has two new front boots already.

much pleased.

Send it through the money launderers car wash.

It has been in giffer possession for some time…parking sensors appear to be ends of the vehicle and the wheel trims.

Oil is filth, will try and squeeze that in this week. Would be a tight bastard and rob my filter from the other except I can’t get under the bonnet.

Shiny when washed, but the lighter paint flatters it. Every panel has some minor scuff or flat paint, etc somewhere but as a six foot car it’s ok.

Mrs ODM will probably permit herself to be conveyed in it, so that’s a step up from the gold one.

Tbh, Ive serviced one of these, started it for 30seconds, turned it off, and the dipstick/oil has been the same colour! The PD seems to come with an insta-filth setting...

Might be worth finding out how much can be transferred over from the other octavia, got a feeling you might be able to swap the MFD in if someone is handy with VCDS.

I pulled the radio, as the one in Basey McBaseface just perms scans channels like button I jammed as nothing works…sadly discovered the rear aerial fitting is different having pulled it all out.

I left quite a few bits as the lad that knocked on the door and offered saved me the hassle/haggle with cartakeback when they’d arrive and find the front and rear ends missing.

£120 plus the radio does me alright, told him about the rain sensing wipers, auto mirror and told him to get the clocks/mfd out.

Spare was an alloy so there’s four there, I’d have kept them but the new one has brand new front tyres, both fronts on the gold are burst one rear has a bulge like Randy’s testicles in South Park.

Time was an issue as we go on holiday shortly and have estate agent coming for photos to sell the house - otherwise I’d have endured the wrath of Mrs ODM and stripped more on the drive.

Skoda estates are the best, here’s mine and I had Octavia before:

If the gold one hadn’t met it’s maker (or rather a Citroen DS3) my next logical purchase was a 2.0tsi superb estate in L&K flavour, hens teeth but there you go.

Mine’s 2.0 TDi DSG and is absolutely brilliant for long distance. As was my 1.9tdi Octavia. L&K spec is lovely, mine is SE Business, so still pretty decent.
