From memory, it was a Kodak rep's car before the present owner's brother bought it from a big dealer down south, the shell has done a little over 100k.

I got fully developed looking at it.

This is another 'if only' car. I have fond memories of these. I had one back in the late 70's. It was an 'end of life' car, I paid £10 for it. 3 months tax, might, or might not, have had an MoT... Could see the road through the floor. Started first time, every time. Sweet little thing. If only I had the money, if only I had the time, if only I had somewhere to keep it.

I passed my test in one. It was brand new,  and drove very nicely.

Mind you I only had a 1954 Reliant to compare it with.

I was hoping it was going to be the one that appeared on "Salvage Hunters: Restoring Classics" that had a Blydenstein engine and several tasteful* 70's mods. It was very of its time and to my surprise they loved it and managed to improve it without spoiling any of  its  authenticity, taking it back to the widow of the original owner. I still have my copy of Custom Car from '74 that featured it back in the day.  It's now untaxed and MOTless so it doesn't bode well....Re the one above I can see it clearing £3k if put before the right audience. As people have said, that audience is dwindling but it is still out there.
