Anyone want a Merc?

I just can't stand it just sitting outside the house being unused anymore so it's up for grabs.

I bought it as a keeper, as an everyday car and as something I always wanted but having being 'given' (well it was 100 quid really) a Rover 216 with T+T it just keeps being put to one side.

Here's a bit about it. 1992 190 2.0e Auto in Light blue with cream cloth interior. Leccy windows front and rear with leccy steel sunroof. Interior tidy and clean with no rips or tears but there is the odd spot of rust on the paint. It's never been welded (nor needs to be - not even the jacking points where they do have a tendency to go) but it has had a cheap and crappy replacement n/s/f wing that's bubbled. Just in the process of clearing that up at the moment.

Other not so great bits are a hole in the drivers side headlamp (in the Spotlight part so doesn't affect the beam pattern for MoT) and I have to get round to doing battle with the DVLA to track down the V5. I know the previous owner sent it off (I saw it, filled in the relevant bits and posted it off on the way back from collecting it!) but as per, they deny all knowledge of receiving it and to be honest I just couldn't be arsed in rushing to chase it as I was keeping it for a long time I thought..

T+T till September or October this year (I'll dig the paperwork out when I get back from work tomorrow) and I found the service history that showed it was stamped up to 91000 miles by Mercedes dealers.

Here's some piccies of it.

I dunno what to ask for it, it owes me about £700 so offers about that? What do you think?

Thanks for looking folks.

I like this - good colour and tidy interior. I'd like a diesel one of these to run on old cooking oil of course.

I'd be tempted by this if I actually had a single spare coin (and a place to keep a 2nd car...)

Hope it finds a good home as these are getting rare now

OH!

I've always fancied one of these.

But I don't know if I could drop the BMW love for one, might find oneself left slightly disappointed (or that's the impression I get...)?

Oh that is one really sweet looking motor. Good luck with the sale, not that you'll need any luck!

I'd love to have that as a daily smoker. Circumstances dictate otherwise sadly :(

They're very good cars, well built and decent to drive. I find the 2.0 good on fuel too.

Oh, parts are cheap even from Merc themselves (in fact all the main dealer parts I priced up were incredibly cheap) and easy to find.

Nice to see one not wearing ridiculous blinged up alloys and some wanky Cosworth-look-a-like bodykit.

Top marks for no chrome arches either. I'd love one of these, but like j-j it'd have to be a diesel.

In January I got a grand for this 1.8 with 95k on fleabay if it helps with the valuation

Hi all! Glad you like it! Yeah, I suppose I could ask for more but Autoshite discount applies plus I'd rather it goes to a deserving home rather than any old ebay chod who would slap some wanky arches and wheels on it(omg wl u swp fr scbby ld mundano wiv no T+T etc etc etc..)

Plus it's not perfect but as Cavette said parts are cheap even from Mercedes but GSF isn't bad though.

I like things original, hence the wheeltrims on steelies, no bling arches and original dealer stickers and plates (Lancaster by the way).
