Weird not bike or car shite collection

Collecting a thing. It’s shite but not quite a car and also not quite a bike. 

Poo count: 0 and likely to remain 0 since it’s only about 25 miles away

Fuel: Dunno, gotta take my brother’s Focus ST as my BMW doesn’t have folding seats

Waste of money and time? Absolutely.

So I don’t actually know what to do with it. But it was so cheap I couldn’t lose. 

Kind of want to return it to stock, kind of want to see what happens if I put a bigger motor in it (and wheels obviously)

Right. So things to know:

Frame is rotten but may not actually be past it, it has split in one place but it’s a clean split and I think I could get it patched, it isn’t a car after all, I can weld a subframe up

Motor not present

Most electrics not there

Early model so it doesn’t have indicators or wing mirrors

Body despite being filthy is in very good condition (C5 isn’t bad either)

One pedal missing

Chain has snapped but it looks like it’s just a broken link so I could repair that

Bitten off way more than I can chew as usual but it was less than £50. Even if it all goes tits up I’d imagine I could sell the body for that.

Needs proper wheels with suspension and a transplant from something like an AMI or that heap that Kiltox was advertising recently.  Plus lithium batteries.  Make it fast!

I may keep this as a project thread and just change the name… Might need moving forum unless a ruined Sinclair C5 actually IS Autoshite. 
 

Going to pull what’s left of it apart this weekend hopefully, and see what the score is with the frame, as the sprogs are at a birthday party and it’ll make a change from the AX trying to murder me every time I work on it.

Just join the C5 group on Facebook if you can stomach joining there’s massive support for these things. I’ve had several over the last few years and only sold the last one because I was moving house and didn’t have enough space for the bastard.

Lots of people put hub motors in and big lithium batteries,even with the Lotus tuned chassis no less, I’d be very careful and also it’s just a bit of fun that cost 50 quid right. I would probably go spending five hundred quid on bits and make it as good as you can as working and complete are 500-750 and modded and tidy are 1-2k
