tooSavvy Posted October 3, 2024 Author Posted October 3, 2024 All soldered.... That heavy copper [ex Tyrepump motor flex] is 50% longer than the supplied flex. Just need to 'port over' some choonz, onto a thumbstick, and we are away ♥️👍 🚙💨 crad, Steviemillar, Matty and 3 others 6

tooSavvy Posted October 4, 2024 Author Posted October 4, 2024 Verdict 😉👍 #1.. starts playing where it was, after switch off/back on. ♥️ #2.. only twice was it 'swamped' with fuzzy incoming (likely a car at a junction, with another on 108MHz)... Not a real issue! #3.. we were out over 4hr and it didn't play one twice 😯. Maggikkk 🚙🎶💨 Dave_Q, privatewire and crad 3

tooSavvy Posted November 7, 2024 Author Posted November 7, 2024 FINALLY..... I have my Frankensocket, to enable SWMBO to run her BumWarmer AND me power my dash Volts/Stick player 🙄. Comprising.... Top... An old fone charger widget, gutted + resoldered for plain twin wire. Middle... Lazy Betty, single pole (on +12v). Bottom... The two ciggy sockets that I got last week, off Fleebay. Soldered ends + choccy block. Testing to commence 😮 Five .. Four .. Three .. Two .. BOOM 🤣 🚙💨 Dave_Q, AnnoyingPentium, privatewire and 1 other 4
tooSavvy Posted November 7, 2024 Author Posted November 7, 2024 ... Three .. Two .. One >>>> ON 🥳👍. Plugged in, dash top fly lead swapped into one 'tail'.... Lazy Betty rocker OFF.... Lazy Betty rocker ON.... Lazy Betty will be secured, with Hi Tack tape.... Open door, sit in, rocker ON = 🚀 😁 Dave_Q, Rustybullethole, privatewire and 1 other 4
tooSavvy Posted November 7, 2024 Author Posted November 7, 2024 This 'cavalcade of couplings' has been brought about by two immovable points... The ciggy socket is Perm Live.... so you can't leave the car with a legacy device plugged in. SWMBO bum warmer is ciggy plug in/my Thumbstick FM player is ciggy plugin = I need TWO ciggy sockets.... You will notice the ciggy socket, in the console, is directly in front of the heater control dial so fitting a plastic 'doubler' ciggy adapter will compromise my access 😕. It's a dreary/stringy/thingie... but WORKS ♥️👍 🚙💨 Dave_Q and privatewire 2
