What's in your glovebox?

.....I'm a little concerned for those of you that went out at half eleven to check the glovebox... I was only looking cos I'd run out of skins ;)

I'm even more concerned, mine were from memory. Accurate too, apart from the egg; that, I must have imagined. :(

......

Salt from KFC

Ketchup (see above).....

TIGHTWAD!

Good selection of shite then ;D I probably should carry more prophylactic equipment but choose not to cos it makes life more interesting.

and yeah, the guitar strings.. I don't even know what they are doing there.. I use heavies and these are medium. £3 posted sound ok?

I did my list from memory! I am sure there is loads I have missed off it, the daily's glove box is rammed with useful stuff....

what do you keep in there?

Random, but since you ask.

In the van:

1. Misc napkins.

2. A new, unused cold chisel.

3. My chequebook ( found it! ) March Visa statment, and insurance docs for my Sierra.

4. A boxed fuel filter for a Fiat Siecento.

5. Misc dried up markers and biros with no lids.

6. A Machine Mart invoice.

7. Fluff, crumbs & paperclips.

Sierra is empty, Bimmer probably has her crap in it now.

I was gonna say there's a pattern forming there China Tom.....

 FFS, don't anyone Google for "Golden Elephant" with safe search turned off.:wink:

I didn't realise it was possible for people to do that!

I'm surprised, given the cross-section of posters on here that, so far, no-one has admitted to:-

Latex gloves

Balaclava

Duct tape

Chloroform soaked rag.

Nah, you need to keep your chloroform-soaked rag in a sealed jar, then stash that under the rear seat cushion, hidden among the sound-deadening material and sundry skin fragments from your "subjects."

Forgot the gloves, but mine live in the boot and the current batch are the nitrile ones, which are rubbish, IMHO. :|

Well I don't know what you are used to searching for, but I had to go and have a look, but after 3 pages of Thai restaurants, I gave up looking for something bizarre.....

Yup! :D

Had a further rummage in there at lunchtime.

Found some of those clip on sunglasses (owner unknown), a fair few of those funny little pens you find in Argos, part of the surround which goes around the radio and a bolt with a large washer around it.

Useful stuff to have eh?

^^ ted, that's probably the most worrying list yet!

I had another peek today.. Last night I missed the pack of Ibuprofen and the granada owners manual (why? it's a cortina??) and I shan't even start on the pile of stuff where the back seat is supposed to be!

Posted

i went on a hunt for some blade fuses tonight, and i started in the Cortina, in the glove box i found:

4 money bags with cortina interior screws and fixings

a tin of tescos deodorant

some post office receipts from 2008

some mints

empty fag packet

empty rizla packet

a screwdriver with a chewed-up end

some keys - no idea what they are for

a somerfield points card - for p38 spreading use only

a laptop power supply with multiple ends - never used

empty toilet roll holder

one packet of mcdonalds tomato sauce - URGH

and a pack of blade fuses - all 10 amp, so no use

in the Zephyr i found the glove box contained rust and an empty lighter

there is a linbin full of blade fuses next to the toolbox ;)

Nothing wrong with a bit of Europe - If you listen to some of their back catalogue they are actually a far better group than people may give them credit for. 8)

My glovebox - mainly empty fag packets and pay an display tickets and bags of Haribo if I am feeling flush - Tangfastics! :P

PS, Fred, your escort was boring. A headlight bulb, an empty rothmanns packet and some costcutter receipts. Nothing else.

Found a few other odds and sods in mine but nothing of significance.

Not guilty yer honour. I put none of it there. Can't find the handcuffs though, was hoping they might be there. Never mind, found another pair I forgot about, so easy come easy go....

Handcuffs? wouldn't have said anything even if I did find them... which I didn't....

Didnt find much , Two handbooks for one CD player , one in every language known except english and one with english and a few others ,

Couple of bulbs

The strap that used to hold the glovebox up but now lies broken within

A few sundry screws and a zip tie

Some interesting collections of potentially incriminating objects.....

BMW:

AA battery charger,

USB multi datacard reader,

OEM torch,

a roll of gold sticky-back coachline,

BMW parts dept receipt (I think its for the speedo diff sensor),

KulaShaker 'K' CD (even though theres no CD player),

a couple of little screwdrivers,

spare lighter (a black clipper),

a spare pack of big and little silver skins,

a bottle of aftershave,

slimline filter tips.

Theres some other stuff, I'll check later.

EscRot:

Nothing, as there isn't a glovebox.

Posted

323i - just its service book and the OEM torch that still works.

116d - a couple of CDs and its now full. They don't make gloveboxes like they used to...

320i - 30amp blade fuses in case something should blow. A duster for wiping the inside of the windscreen and a trye pressure gauge.

All very boring I know.:oops::oops::oops:
