Today was fantastic !

Met Edd, who is a crazy guy with astonishing knowledge & a rather lovely Wartburg.

Also finally put a face to retrogeezer, thanks for showing me the supersport pictures.

Yeah, crazy Edd and his immense Wartburg, what a car that is.

Absolutely shot after standing round for four hours, and I still have compere's voice ringing through my ears!

 

Managed to take a photo of every car in there, still uploading them!

Yeah that is abit weird Simon, i personally think it is to do with the heat after a long journey.

As when you gave it time to cool down , it fired straight up.

Either way, change the battery and see what happens

I've a feeling it's just the battery Mark. I had to jump it on Thursday when I used it and it only just went this morning. The battery is 6 or 7 years old and has only been used in my Fiesta for short runs around the block, it's not had any proper use.

 

It wouldn't start when we left but went straight away with a jump so it must be that.

 

I have two batteries, the one that was in it today and the one that came with it...I'll just put the original one back in.

We found out jon had no brake lights, so we checked the fuses and low and behold an 8Amp had gone.

Edd then "boshed" on some tin foil (Autoshite fix or what ?) and everything worked again, but it needed a propper fuse..

Jon tried to find some fuses ... came back empty handed (Bet this reminds Pete of a battery episode )

£1.50 for afew fuses - BARGAIN !

Anyway the 8Amp popped again, so we lobbed in a 16 and it worked. Horn and Brake lights - HORRAY
