maxpower Posted May 22, 2010 Posted May 22, 2010 pmsl what a total melonhead... though pete docherty likes these jags and people would just think he had been cooking his rocks of crack in the footwell so he might still have 1 buyer for it
autofive Posted May 22, 2010 Posted May 22, 2010 you should never try to light your farts while driving
shite_meister Posted May 22, 2010 Posted May 22, 2010 hey now, we've all done it, come on...Can't say I've ever tried to light my farts whilst driving to be honest.
HillmanImp Posted May 22, 2010 Posted May 22, 2010 I have had some scary moments whilst welding where small flames have come up, briefly and i have put them out promptly, started doing something else not realising that it had reignited. Have learnt to keep an eye on it for longer these days and not take it for red that it is out.Was welding the wheelarch of a car once, not realising that the metal on the inner arch had been smothered with filler on the inside of the car. The heat transferred and the filler caught fire billowing plumes of acrid smoke inside the car. Lurverly. Was prepared to have to maybe repaint it, but not quite ready for that.
Rusty Pelican Posted May 22, 2010 Posted May 22, 2010 I was absolutely guttedbut not as much as the interior was...... , spot on comment Sir
OwdChina Posted May 22, 2010 Posted May 22, 2010 Hmmm. I'm tempted.And it's a strange thing, I'm missing China
ChinaTom Posted May 23, 2010 Author Posted May 23, 2010 Hmmm. I'm tempted. And it's a strange thing, I'm missing China what, the 35 degree heat and 1000% humidity, the dockers' oysters on the pavements, the fried grubs bugs and insects for tea, the tap water that that comes off the bypass line of the useful filtration bits of the treatment stations, the constant blaring of blue plastic lorry horns, the eye-stinging city centre pollution, the promise of western style supermarkets that sell only grubs bugs and insects, that smell of late spring durian fruit that stink worse than a 20 day old corpse in the sun, the 05:30 Sunday morning piano violin and leccy organ practise from at least 1000 kids living in the same block, the lack of Sainsbury Kenyan coffee, "fresh" vegetables that you have to wash a million times before cooking, the sitting on a scooter in a crowd of commuters at the traffic lights that are counting down from 200 before going green, and ALL of them coughing and hacking and contributing to the day's dockers' oyster tally, the pot-holes that could defeat a 2CV, the endless innane TV channels with iffeminate men teaching girls how to dress (Gok Wan looks and acts like a prop forward compared to this lot), and that evening low temperature of 27 degrees to keep you from sleeping properly - yeah, I know what you mean.Had a few days in Nanning last week but am now working in the frankly chilling and desolate ex-Killing fields of Cambodia planning a sugar cane estate. Landmines and skulls all round then.
danthecapriman Posted May 23, 2010 Posted May 23, 2010 Shame that happened, would be a nice car if it wasnt burnt.Ive never set a car alight when welding, aside from the odd bit of old underseal or seam sealer catching. I have however set myself alight when welding my granada! Not once but twice!!I was laying under it welding the floor, and a spark or blob of molten metal must have landed on my sweatshirt, I had the visor on and was welding away so didnt notice anything, until I could feel an immense patch of heat going up my arm! I flicked the visor up and my arm was well ablaze! Didnt get to my skin though so I got lucky there! The second time a spark hit my jeans, setting the knee on fire, that one did burn a bit though! It takes a special kind of idiot to make the same mistake more than once! Especially when both accidents happened only a few days apart!
myglaren Posted May 23, 2010 Posted May 23, 2010 I have however set myself alight when welding my granda! Missread that one at first
ChinaTom Posted May 25, 2010 Author Posted May 25, 2010 Just noticed bloke selling burnt Jag also is also listing a water pump for a Yugo Tempo, suspension parts for a Nissan N14 Sunny and Peugeot 605. Sounds like a right haul of shite in his garden.
