You jest, but I once worked with a lady of a certain age who used to religiously plan her routes to avoid right turns.

I didn't realise you used to work with my mum!

Does anyone else want to scream when they're a passenger, and the driver flicks the the ignition on and then immediately cranks the starter without waiting for all the diagnostic lights to go out? bonus points if they're driving a diesel and they immediately crank it from cold without waiting for the glow plug light to go out.

Not many people know it, but The Scream by Edvard Munch is actually a self portrait that he painted shortly after getting a lift from a friend in a 1998 Hyundai Elantra diesel that was started in such a manner.

I won't leave a car with central locking running with all the doors and windows shut (even if to get out to check lights/tyres, chuck something in the bin, or when sitting on the drive washing it) unless i have a spare key in my pocket. If I don't then I wind a window down. This is despite never ever getting caught out by automatically locking doors.

I do the same, but I have been caught out by my car locking whilst running. Luckily it was stuck in a loop of locking/unlocking and frantically pulling at the handle got me back in, as if I got locked out I'd have had to put the window through. Again.

I always have the interior fan running, regardless of temp. Brain tells me that I'm suffocating on old air if there's no fan running.

I once locked my then toddler daughter in a Gen 5 Celica because of this! Managed to get in by pulling the pillar less window outwards, whilst trying to stay calm so she didn't panic.
