All going to be scrapped soon - have contact number if anyone want a complete spares/project car.

Bloody hell. Is that a Fairthorpe? Surely that isn't being scrapped!Wondered what the pile of rust was - an Alfa. Surprise! Where do you keep finding these things? Remarkable.

 Where / how do you find all this stuff? Top spottage however you do it, dangly mirror Sierra estate FTW obviously.

The amount of wrecks youve spotted recently is insane. Seriously nice work. That BX looks easily saveable, the Sierra does look like its hiding some serious grot underneath.

DANGLEEEEEEEE :)And whatever they say about Italian metal.... all true! I have never seen a doorskin just fall off before.

How long has the Alfa been there?Couple of weeks?

 Where / how do you find all this stuff?

I suspect a 'wanted' ad in a local rag and a hiab lorry is involved somewhere along the line...

Hey now theres an idea

The BX seems to have some kind of steering lock on. I'm guessing that even if someone broke into it they wouldn't be able to drive it away in its current state!

fantastic spots, surely there are some parts on that Viva that need to be saved.

I always wondered what was meant by dangly Sierra mirrors - mystery solved!:D

The Viva was in storeage elsewhere untill a while ago - it had new sills fitted and other parts. No doubt all knackered now though.

is this a Fairthorpe?

look like Scimitar GTE 'princess Anne' wheels

if so, 100 quid a wheel - thats the figure banded around the scimitar forums

Dangly mirror Sierra - awesome. You should really go along with a rattle can of grey primer and do the grille for the win.

I dont think it's a fairthorpe, if it is it's been heavily modded... I stuck a link up on the fairthorpe/rochdale/tornado etc oc site, so hopefully someone will step up and save it

Posted

It's definitely a Fairthorpe. I also dropped 'em a line. Good if it can be saved!

Hi New to this site.

I posted these in may - your slow!! I believe they are still there. The Cortina estate and HB viva have buyers awaiting the

oap getting around to getting the cars out. The same oap built the Fairthorpe many many moons ago and has decided to keep hold of it.

Pity the old sierra has prob gone looking for one thats going to scrapped to pinch some bits!

Being near the top of the yard that Sierra will still be there. Its a bit far away from you though.

Aye but I do get up to Rutland a fair bit, might be worth a trip over there next week as I am up!

Hi Thanks for the response, not being slow; just never seen this site before (just what I need more crap to look at instead of working on the crap I have :D !).

I'm guessing these cars are going to be in that garden for a while longer, the fairthorpe is certainly interesting as it looks like an early one and the body mods done to it look quite well done.

I think I still have dibbs on the HB... the old boy sure isn't in any rush whatsoever to move anything :( As long as I get the car home and see what I can make of it I am not worried..... :D:D:D

I know it's a long shot, but does anyone think that the Alfa windscreen may fit a certain Autobianchi? Probably not, but a bit of gaffa tape might sort it...........
