I'm afraid I don't have knowledge of your previous convictions with regard to ShiteMobiles so, any guess at 'encore une fois' is likely to be wide of the mark ......

Dog suggests hatchback or estate so it's not a dodgy MX-5, how about
Ford Galaxy?

Tomorrow’s fun around the garage.

Cleared 1k miles in this since it landed and have some of the second tank left.

It’s been reassuringly boring.

What it does need is a spare wheel jack and wheel brace in that plastic thingy so if anyone is binning a polo or a golf I guess give me a shout before the scrappy arrives please. Will exchange for cash etc.

Ruinous Range Rover has just been used too so no grim reports this week at least she has done about 1k in that too but for significantly more fuel. Mrs B reckons it shudders at 60/65 when rolling which is likely the expensive prop but we will flush the box as soon as I’m unemployed again and get some time.

Well that’s FTP number 2 for the ruinous one. Apparently making many noises from I assume drivetrain. On her way back from collecting her dad from the hospital that he was ambulanced into. Arse.

At least the engines ok so that can get pulled out and flogged on.

I’m not looking forward to dealing with this one when I get back. Anyone want an L322?

AA man landed apparently it’s a poorly front brake so probably seizing up so not terminal just yet.

Hops online for disks and pads. Recovered to BiL whose neighbours a driveway mechanic who will do it for £50 plus parts. Same guy who did the van starter for £40! Also a shit job I CBA doing in the road on my back.

Well it’s an emotional roller coaster this thing. Turns out AA man is a nobber.

Brakes are pretty worn but not sticking at all.

Turns out it’s not sure if it’s in hi or low range according to this vague fault.

Back into English for a moment and this is apparently the motor that moves the transfer box from hi to low range. What was wrong with the big levers on a series I don’t know.

Anyway I live in hope it’s this. Being 500 miles away doing internet parts darts is great.

There’s a way to test it and potentially fix for nowt?

This is where it is

Apparently the variable resistor thingy gets dirty and stops giving a signal. You can “fix it” by running it using a power probe.

Also can test as per below.

My L322 had exactly the same issue. I got it towed to the nearest garage, not sure what they did to it but they barely charged me anything and didn't require any parts so I wouldn't be surprised if the power probe fix was exactly what they did.

Going to take the bike for a mot tomorrow morning and then if not pishing down get the power probe out and see if there’s a hope for the rangie.

Spent half an hour cleaning the bike before its test tomorrow.

Can’t believe it just started after being left since August last year not on charge. Miracle.
