My old Nissan Sunny, whilst faithful and incredibly reliable, was the wrong sort of grim. So the only solution is to go out and buy something cheap, rear wheel drive and with a big engine. Seeing as I've already had a Commodore, there's only one real answer. So today I picked up a 1986 Ford Falcon XF panel van

 

 

 

 

 

 

It's a 4.1 straight 6, with the ultra sporty front bench seat and column shift auto with a bed in the back. I never knew something with such a big engine could be so slow, but hey it does sound good. I think it's time to have a bit of light hearted fun. So since the paintjob is already somewhat dodgy, I'm thinking matt black (yes I don't normally like it, but I really think it would work on something like this.) Took it home and sprayed the wheels black

 

 

added the necessary stickers

 

 

and then got stitched up when I wasn't looking

If only I was important enough to have a space at my office, it really would fuck everyone off and I'd probably be asked to leave. Someone on another forum did a photoshop

 

 

So I think matt black is the way to go. Then some bull bars, old alloys and maybe even a few spotlights. Then get pulled over every 5 minutes

Its the old surfie tradition which helps..ive got some tail lights of the earlier XA-XB model..and locally..i spotted it on Wednesday..some old giffer has managed to graft a big Mitsi front end onto his..looks quite good..and mates of mine have a matt black band wagon and it does look good..

Finally gotten rid of the Gay Pride flag paint job

 

 

 

 

 

I know matt black is generally frowned on, but I think it rather suits it. Still needs a second coat in places, after that I'm going to put it up for sale. Still have about 6 weeks before I leave my current place. So that's time for one more interesting car before I have to get a van
