Not seen a OMG SOLARA in the flesh for years, This one was a 1300cc powerhouse but looked like new.

This Frienza 1800 was for sale for £2500 and i really wanted it, If my BMW sells tonight then i might make a call about this as i have the number still...

This was quite remarkable, 6 wheeled CX Safrai and the Airplane was in fact a converted caravan, It bet it's fun to tow!.

This RX4 was simply amazing, Never seen one before but it was love at first sight, even the interior is a work of art!

This had sold for £1295, With only 64000 miles on the clock it seems a bit of a bargain to me.

 

 

 

 

This Rover 100 had a 5.7 lump, Is it a V8?. Looks ORSUM to me!.

I had totally forgot about the Reliant Scimitar Sabre, It's only a 1.4 as well.

 

 

Very rare Peel Trident, Looks like something from space.

This 404 Coupe was lovely, The owner tried to tell me all about it, Sadly in French though so i didn't understand a word he said.

 

 

 

This Ford Pop based Rot with a 5.0 V8 was stunning, One of the best I've seen.

I'm almost speechless! Some truly stunning cars there - I think maybe the "auntie" Rover with the V8 is the most amazing. And the Hot rod isn't actually Ford Pop based, it's 1932 ford Model B based, and it looks like one of those fiberglass shells that's only approximately similar to the steel original.

I know the owner of this. He lives in Colchester, it's his daily driver and is used rain or shine. It is an ex Essex Triumph car, hence the numberplate. It made the journey to Gloucestershire along with myself for the Owners Club National Rally a couple of weeks ago

Great photo's. Not been to Bromley in years.

 

Nearly all the cars there looked in great nick. Not like when I used to go and they were all peeps in their daily drivers.

 

That Panther is so unbelievably uncool it actually goes full circle and becomes cool again. Amazing.

 

My favourite car from yesteryear was a Mk5 Cortina that IIRC had a purple fur interior and had every bodykit add on imaginable. It was truly terrible. I think it was intracately hand painted with a pattern (pretty badly) but my memory is not what it was.

I went to this too, after reconsidering my initial idea of avoiding it. Some neat shots there, you found a few that I missed and I really tried to get as much as I could.....the 404 coupe, Panther and RX4 did it for me.

Great pics! You do know that there were TWO RX4s in the line up don't you? I got snaps of the purple one. Truly marvellous.

 

I've pulled out your Wolseley Hornet 57 shot.

 

So rotten that they had to weld a frame into it to get it to the show - and the frame came free because it was so bad! Apparently, the bloke's going to restore it with as much of the original as possible... The club naturally had to win best stand. (the Sunbeam Rapier club won best small club stand - the chap with that gorgeous Fastback was absolutely thrilled!)

Two RX4!! Bugger!, i missed the purple one!

 

The Hornet stand deserved to win as they had made a real effort, they had 2 1/2 Heniz models on display which is remarkable as only 57 got made in the first place as well as having a normal convertible.

 

The rusty one was a bit of a wreck so good luck to whoever takes that on!.

 

And the Rapier was stunning, You could see the owner was very proud of it, It was drawing a lot of attention.

Yesterday i went to the Rougham Wings, Wheels and Steam show in Suffolk, Wasn't as good as last years due to a lack of cars and the £9 each to get in!

This was very tasty but seemed more like a trophy case with all the plaques and trophies inside it.

 

 

 

This must be one of the latest on the road on a X plate though strangely it's listed as being registered in May 1980?.

 

 

 

 

This 1954 Wolesley 6/80 was fitted with the Jaguar 3.4 engine back in 1967 after the ogrinal engine back up, in 1971 it was garaged until 2007 then it was brought back out and moted and used again.

 

The owner wants to restore it but i think it looks better as it is.

 

 

 

 

 

No idea what the truck on the back is.

 

 

 

 

This automatic V8 Range Rover had a go on the see-saw but kept stalling.

This Packhorse 4x4 was at the show last year, It's changed a bit since then though as you can see below.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This 1937 Pop was lovely, Just as if an old boy had just driven it out of the garage to pop down the shops in.

Wolseley is superb! I love seeing cars that have had somewhat odd engine conversions done along time ago. It will definitely loose something if it is fully restored.
