One Marque Mark

Mark is about 51 years old, he has always driven Vauxhalls, from his first car, a 1976 Vauxhall Viva to his current steed, a 2017 Vauxhall Mokka. He likes what he know and knows what he likes.

Mark has always convinced himself that Vauxhall is the way to go. "There a good maaaaarque" he exclaims when challenged by his mates why he doesn't try another marque of car.

In his mind, he believes all of the gumph that come with car marques, British cars rust and breakdown, German cars are too expensive to run and are generally driven by wannabe yuppies and wide-boy salesman, Japanese cars are boring and grey, Korean cars? Nah, forget it, Fords? EURGH! They are devils spawn as are their owners.

It isn't until he has a minor disagreement with the local Vauxhall garage he takes his car to that he decides that he is now offended, he sells the (privately bought, second-hand) Mokka and goes over to buying a Dacia or Kia (despite his earlier reservations) because there's nothing like taking away his £250-a-year custom from a company that needs several million in profit to keep afloat. That'll teach 'em eh? 🤣
