Alfa Romeo SZ... dribble dribble... looks like it doesn't belong to any time.

I remember seeing the Ford Probe concept at a motor show, in the early 80's. It looked amazing, and had plastic bucket seats, like you could have bought from Habitat.

Actually, the Probe coupe we got here, looked much like the American Probe concept.

I know concept cars are cheating, but I always thought the MG E-XE looked well futuristic:

That's strange, they don't usually give out Maestros at the end of The Crystal Maze - it's usually really lousy-sounding "adventure" days out, kayaking etc.

They always had a Daewoo Espero as top prize on Family Fortunes.3-2-1 was usually a boggo Metro City, Nova or Fiesta driven on lights a-flashing by Caroline Munro. :D Bullseye was either a Metro, Samba or if the contestants lived in a high rise council flat in Sheffield, miles from any water, a speedboat. Quality.

a stunning car and i think deserves to be included here as it was the early 60s design

I remember the first time i saw an Ro80. It was on a N plate. Could not get over how modern it looked, as it was not dissimilar to many late 80's cars in styling.

Certainly does not look like it was released in 1967.

Reanault 5. In 1972 there was nothing else like it really.

And we haven't had this yet have we? You know, thinking about it, it really has been the French who have gone out on a limb time and again and upped the bar on modern styling.

Just been creeping about in the Autoshite basement and I found this thread... well worth updating. I'm still waiting for the world to catch up with these visions of what's going to be:
