I'm guessing they were rear facing though. A no no nowadays, I would guess.

No, it’s still a thing  in the Tesla Model S, I’m sure I’ve read somewhere that they’re planning it for the Y too.

Wow! I had absolutely no idea. I’m probably happier with my children’s shins being in the firing line when in a Tesla - rather than a Volvo with just a towbar for crash protection.

I used to make mine sit in the back of a Montego, probably a safeguarding issue these days.

And all is well with the world again 😆 😁 One day I will have a V90. Gorgeous things, for a Volvo 😉

I agree, they are a beautiful car and I’m glad they’re coming back. In reality though, having had a new one in 2017 for 6 weeks on hire, the Skoda Superb estate is much bigger inside and the excessive driver aids on the V90 annoyed me. Still look great though.

The thread title should be changed to

“No, more Volvo estates!”

The cynic in me thinks this is a Wispa Gold thing where they always intended to bring them back and announced their withdrawal from the market knowing it would generate a bit of public outcry.

Wouldn't be surprised if Volvo themselves were behind most of the public outcry.
