Theres no shame in buying stuff then deciding its a load of bollox, thats surely a part of being a SRS autoshiter. If its more bother than you can be arsed with, or you simply dont like it, just readverise it! be totally honest with any buyers about whats happened with it, and someone will take it off you eventually. Be fairly caszh about selling it though, probably will take a while and you'll get a few mouth breathers, just dont let them wind you up and it'll all turn out fine. I'm sure anyone who calls themselves a shiter has done this many times, I know I have.

Ive done this with every other car ive bought. Its simply a case of selling it on again, you may even make a profit!Theres a strong demand for Maestro vans on the Maestro/Montego owners club forum, you could try there.

Is it a dizzler? They are popular (ish!) and actually a decent little van.Being honest is the real answerr of course but if anyone you don't know asks why you're selling it you could always use the tried and tested 'bought it to move some stuff about while I cleaned out my house and no longer need it' routine. It doesn't matter to a great extent though as a decent van will always sell.

Do you enjoy driving it? If not, sell. Works for me. Problem is, I seem to have quite a few cars that I DO enjoy driving now!My own Maestro didn't last very long as it didn't deliver behind the wheel. A bit too average. Sold it again at no loss.

I know the feeling all too well - been there and done it many times. Just sell it and get something else, don't worry about what other people think or anything like that! :)

I love Maestros. Where in the world are you? Can we see some pics? The 1275 A-Series isn't so bad once you get used to it.

I know I have.

I think at one time or another we've all been there. Bought a car, seemed like a good idea at the time then once you actually get it, you get the 'WTF am I doing' feeling, realising that you are spending precious time / money / energy on buying something thats going to be loads of arseache.Better to admit you were wrong and be gone with it.Good luck with the sale!

I'd bet that loads of us have done that - my only regret is buying the bloody thing feeling like I was Madonna rescuing some orphan, then spending loads of money I didn't have whilst still getting nowhere near putting it back on the road. Then store it for years, finally decide it will never get done and sell for peanuts. (Are you listening Fiat 850 coupe, Fiat 500, Alfasud Sprint, Lancia Fulvia?) I still hanker over cars every day but if I did buy one on a whim again The Fuhrer would have my guts for garters.Mind you, she is away this week ...
