Can’t imagine it would have been a good idea in today’s era of of pit stops being the main chance of overtaking. Getting another crew into the cramped space to change two wheels at the front would leave massive scope for cock ups.

My favourite six-wheeled F1 cars are the ones that never got raced - the ones with four wheels at the rear!

I've seen footage of both of them being demonstrated at Goodwood, and everyone who has driven them praises them and says the amount of traction is phenomenal.

Brabham fan car - Bernie pulled it after it’s one race as he wanted to keep the other teams happy as he looked to control the sport.
