So ...Have you had any interest in the BMW ?or is that the most stupid question on earth , and i should join in with the mad but slightly fun arguing ?

Not really, but hey, it's fun anyway. Someone offered me an FTO for it this afternoon, and some bloke from Aberdeen offered £700, cash tomorrow, but I'm not haggling £300 off end of story, never mind before the person offering sees the car.I'm not that bothered to be honest, if it doesn't sell I'll use if for another six months.
Don't blame you. Some people's mentailty is if they can get away with a few hundred off by 'phone before they've seen you they think they can turn up with about fifty quid and take it away.

Well, I tried to cajole my brother into being interested, he was until he got quoted TWO GRAND for insurance.

When I logged in 5 mins ago I thought "wow! 6 pages of people wanting Petes 318is!"

I KNOW! It's such a lovely car. I'd have it, but I can get a new shape one for less.I thought I was back on Barryboys then for a minute.

Points, no NCB, high-risk profession, lives in Beirut (Wealdstone). UNLUCKY. He then suggested he buy a rover 25, at which point I fella about laughing.

What's wrong with Rover 25s?Apart from the cramped & dated interior.

dated interior.

Don't most of the cars on here have this? Except that they were contemporary when the car was built.Which brings me to a moot point - since when did they let arseholes who'd been to art college design interiors?

Headgaskets on the K-series, the 25/45 seem to get them pretty badly. Dunno why but it seems like the failure rate gets worse the bigger the engine and/or the newer the car is. Though I have to wonder what they're like if they've been dealer/specialist serviced throughout their life, I suspect the coolant comes out every year and the water pump gets changed as a matter of course at some point. It's a shame the problems overshadowed just how good an engine it is, when they're on form they're amazing!I was behind a 25 facelift the other day and I never really noticed until now how bizzare the back end looks, who had the bright idea of spreading the badge out so it says "R O V E R" like it's an old Lincoln or something? Front looks nice enough though.

*Apologies, I fed the troll.

No problem. But next time aim for your mouth, rather all over your face. :D

Pete, I was under the assumption you were selling an E30 318iS. Surely a '99 318iS in decent nick is still 1500 quid? Have you had any 'Wots ur bst price m8' or 'Wots the lowest ul take Pal'.I hate selling cars privately. It's not a great deal better for a main dealer either.

I think he mentions on the grumpy thread that there's a ding in it hence the price.

Where can you can get a E46 coupe for less than £850? I need to know!

It's an odd design choice, I agree. Always reminds me of the 'SHUMA' on those Kias:
