1972 Maserati Furgone Trasportare.  These vans belted along and Asparagus sellers swiftly took to them.

1978 Maserati Furgone Cittadino.  The Trasportare (Transporter) proved to be a little on the large side for some City street Asparagus sellers, so this down-sized van was offered instead.

1983 Maserati Furgone Nul-Turbo.  These were quickly discounted by 50% from the dealerships.  Their tongue-in-cheek 'Nul' prefix backfired, badly.

1977 Fiat Dino coupe by bertone; previewed at that years turin motor show but industrial unrest meant the project was canned; the only example was used as a road car by Agnelli. Current whereabouts unknown.

The 1986 Fiat Dino Coupe and Spider.   The Coupe was the first Fiat to be offered with a detachable Targa roof, since the X1/9.

In a publicist's nightmare, they were both booked to be shown on the same afternoon to an excited press at Positano.  But the buffoon hadn't realised it was a Bank Holiday, so none showed.

Not only that, the ideal chance to take some publicity photographs faltered as well: the Spider was fitted with its Hard Top for transportation, which latched itself home and couldn't be removed until Giuseppe returned to collect the following Friday.

Utilising the Targa roof concept once again, the Fiat Dino Coupe and Spider were rationalised to become one model for 2015.

If anyone knows this road on the Amalfi coast, it just wouldn't be possible to stop right there, due to the constant flow of traffic.  Therefore: AI fail.

The 1968 Fiat 124 Sport by Moretti.

Due to the missing roof, the press dubbed it the Moretti Forgetti

This was, at one time, owned by a Jocky Wilson up in Kirkcaldy.

The 1985 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Avant, at Rome's Trevi fountain.

The Carrozzeria on this one remains unknown, as no-one seemed to want to admit to it.

Its versatility was appreciated though, as at one time, it was owned by an Alex Higgins from Belfast

The 1972 Triumph Stag, by Bertone, who mistakenly fitted Fiat Badges to it, due to some confusion as they were overwhelmed with work at the time.

Dubbed the 'Stagioni', this was another one-off, which was apparently 'accidentally' commissioned by Solihull on Cowley's behalf, without Cowley having any knowledge until payment was demanded on delivery.

Owned, at one time, by a Martin 'Giant Haystacks' Ruane from Salford.

"Aston Martin Allegro" looks more like an Allegro with the front end of a W123. Not sure why there's a 19th century war going on in the background either....

Interestingly, this was the Ferrari conversion that became known as the 'Toastarossa', for the same reason.

If they weren't rivals, they could have worked together to resolve the issue.

1999 Hyundai Grandeur Geulaendeu Tueoleo 그랜드 투어러 (Gran Turismo, GT), seen at Skegness

These weren't given the Grandeur Sedan's 3.5 L Sigma V6, oh no.  Using a convoluted route through Kia, they were supplied the 3.0 L 6G72 24v twin-turbo V6 from Mitsubishi.  But didn't tell anybody.

Which meant that for some time, Motor Factors in Lincolnshire scratched their heads and lost a large amount of sleep getting parts for these.  That was until Barry from Mablethorpe sussed-out the hidden connection with the 3000 GT.  For the next six months, Barry was rushed off his feet, and wished he hadn't.

I agree but that is still a huge improvement on a week or so ago when any attempts at an Allegro were just met with some sort of generic 1960s car. Now we've got the right era and company. So it is learning, god knows how.

I would suggest it is up to this place to teach AI what an Allegro is.
