Just a got a copy of this week's Classic Car Buyer, and just tried a couple of the numbers in the free ad's(Looking at a car for someone) and it comes back with the 'number you have selected is invalid message' - does that mean the cars been sold or no longer for sale - even though in the bumpf says you should get a 'this car is no longer for sale' (and yes have checked was dialing the correct number) :?

Can anyone adequately explain what the chuff is going on with 'weekly old car publications' at the minute??

No problem Pog. CCW was licenced from Bauer (home of Practical Classics) to Kelsey for some 8 years. Last year, Bauer pulled it back in house, so I now work at Bauer. Kelsey launched a rival in CCB as you can imagine, it was a bit of a shock losing CCW. So I'm now rivals with my good friends who stayed at Kelsey. It's a funny old world sometimes.

The ads are identical to the ads on carandclassic.co.ukI put my car on there, and was surprised to find it in the free send out CCB magazine. I've also had people emailing me saying the number doesn't work.

Is Kelsey Publishing basically P.Simpson?

Nope. Kelsey's been going for some time, though with different names at times. The chap behind it was the bloke who started Practical Classics 30 years ago.
