eBay Spares section strikes again

This is my latest bargain purchase from the Car Parts section of t'Bay:

It's an RT-X 2.2 DCi, with 164K on the clock. I drove it back from Leeds last night and it didn't miss a beat. Main issue, apart from the obvious tidying up needed around the Renner badge on the bonnet, is that the climate control doesn't work, which is an arse at this time of year. The blower motor has burnt out, and this has caused the entire system to shut down. So it's going to be getting the plug-in ceramic heater out of the 21 for now, so it has at least some semblance of demisting - the windscreens on these are too far away to lean over and clean with a rag. Still, it was bloody cheap for one of these, it's got quite a bit of history, and it's taxed till the end of June so should do me for a while.

You are right, it's a DTi not a DCi, my bad. Probably a good thing as the DTi's are less prone to lunching themselves if memory serves, although not quite as quick as the common rail. It was £190 (plus £18 for the train ticket to Leeds and £25 for the diesel to drive it home).

Probably a potential for profit there :D Was the seller as annoyed by the selling price as the last parts section bargain?

Cambelt was done about five months ago. I'm keeping me fingers crossed for the clutch as that's working OK at the moment - although I'd need to take the dash out to sort the heater anyway so could kill two birds with one stone if the clutch did go wrong.

Dash isn't 'hard', the pain is getting to the nuts, and release the wiring loom when removing! :)

Oh, and never having it fitting right again.

Indeed, I'll be able to help out with one of them at the end of next week :D

Well, possible exitees from the fleet are as follows (in order of how likely they are to be leaving):Camry (already spoken for as per above)Yiben Warrior moped (probably of limited interest to shiters...)104Espace (the D reg one)CarltonAlpineThe Skoda will be leaving at some stage too, but I want to MoT it first. And I'm sort of half pondering whether to move the Innocenti on, but if I do it will be an advertise-it-for-lots-of-money-and-see-if-anyone-bites type of arrangement as if I do get rid I'll want to buy something equally interesting to replace it.

I'm sure it's gonna be popular with shiters but I'd love that 104 as a daily.
