I'd love a Montreal as well. What a way to travel! I wonder how much one with a blown-up or stolen engine would cost. Could put in a modernish Audi V6 or something to make it into a usable daily. Or a manky old 2.0 Pinto with too-long 'universal' HT leads and badly jetted DGAS carb off a Scimitar or something.

Lol cheers, I have been mostly lurking since I last posted, once you have the taste for shite it never leaves you (I'm not sure whether that sounds rude or not - it's certainly not meant to). :?:lol: I have put a starting bid of £150 on the Uno & am currently winning with less an hour to go :) didn't really want to bid more as I have no real need for it.

:shock: OOF! That Montego has got shite written all over it. Hopelessly underpowered with 1275 A+ ensures driving misery.

I found them surprisingly swift. Much better than you might think. :D

WHS ^^^^ Had a D reg 1.3 Montego in the mid 1990's found it more responsive than the A reg Sierra 1.6 that it replaced (Sierra had suffered though to be fair, took the speedo out of it to try and repair it and found a sticker on the back that said "OH NO NOT AGAIN" Decided it was time to get shut about then :idea:

trust me ALL 1.6 Sierra's are slow pieces of shit, SHBMO's one is managving about a litre of oil per 700 miles and 18 MPG......it is either gonna be sold or modified very shortly...............
