What engine does the A series van have normally? I thought it would be a York motor.

The A series 6 pot diesel was an extended 2.4 York diesel. It was even worse at starting than the normal 2.4. :(:(:( So much so in fact that Ford fitted "happy gas" to them from new and called it "starte pilote". :?:? The smaller A series did use the 2.4 4 pot or the V6 petrol was available.

I know that Fiat 130 from when it lived in Hull. Pompei might know it too. I was told that at one point in it's life it had a tree going through it, so a lot of work was done to get it right. When I last saw it the webasto was shagged then so if it's still the same no wonder it's like it is  It's been through Buckley's hands too, but then I doubt there are many 130s that haven't

Yes I know it too :D It has been for sale for as long as I can remember. It'll be a real shame if it gets broken.

TBH I was having a chat with Betaphile today and we both agreed that just going off the pics that it would probably be a pile of rust underneath.

This thing is absolutely unbelievable! Check it:

The car was built by a Lotus Engineer in his spare time in 1987

Hmm, I wonder how much spare time he had exactly.

Does it say which Lotus he worked for?

I remember that 126 in street machine only it had a Lancia Beta engine mated to a range rover box back then. You couldn't tell from the pics what an utter heap of shite it was though. It'd be a big job to reshell that and make it into something decent.

Looks tidy:

£1000 BIN will hopefully keep this off the oval; these are so nice that it seems a not unreasonable price I reckon.

The slightly battered front wings of this 34k Rover 216 auto, do not detract (too much) from its appeal. Only £150 with an hour left too.

You will see it has a radio fitted but it isnt wired up, I would guess it is a faulty unit and will never work.

Look on the bright side eh!!!

Bluddy yell Mr Bol - I could do without you posting up porn like that Panhard! Jeepers. Not sure about a Pinto, but perhaps a GSA flat-four could be convinced to fit...

Hey those 504 trucks are fantastic. I loved mine, but having experienced the sheer luxury of the P100, I could not have another as a daily! Too harsh!

They really are nice. I would so get one just to stop it from going to Africa but sadly I just don't have any use for one. If it were a saloon I could probably justify it to myself and have the wife go along with it. If anyone ever sees a petrol saloon which isn't a pile of rust, going for decent money I NEED to know :)

only 37k on this old 80!!! if you gave it the doctor treatment and took the springs out i bet you'd get loads of RESPEK for having found 'the next big thing' in VAG circles.

My I do hate Audi 80's

Talking of dumb things to do, in australia it's quite common for people to cut their springs to lower their car which tbh is pretty stupid but to top it off I know some people who cut them whilst they were ON the car.

Call me stupid but I prefer suspension travel to sporty looks :D
